Planning Withdrawn to build houses on Jubilee Wood Fields
Cllr Jandu and Cllr Birdi at Jubilee Wood Fields

More than 575 residents have signed a petition launched by Cllr Tarlochan Jandu and Cllr Jaswant Singh Birdi, voicing strong opposition to proposals for self-build homes on the protected green fields of Jubilee Wood, off Watery Lane in Keresley, Bablake Ward.

Thanks to the depth of local support and the clear message from the community, the planning application has now been withdrawn. Local councillors have expressed their sincere gratitude to everyone who signed the petition and stood together to protect the area’s valued green space.

The outcome highlights the strength of feeling among residents and the importance of preserving much-loved natural spaces for the benefit of current and future generations.
