Sir,

The next Cheylesmore Ward Forum meeting will take place at 7pm on Tuesday 27th September, at the Cheylesmore Community Centre. Following last month’s disturbances the first item on the Agenda will be an update from the local Policing team on the work they are doing in the local community and a chance for residents to question them about it.

There will also be an opportunity to hear more about the proposals for the Cheylesmore Pub site, with representatives from both ASDA and the Cheylesmore Community Centre in attendance to discuss their plans. These two groups have very different visions for the site which has lain derelict for the last 5 years. I hope many local residents will come along to the Ward Forum and share their views as to how this key site should be redeveloped.

Finally there will be an update on progress with the Friargate development and a chance for residents to take part in the City Council’s consultation on new rules around street trading that could see nuisance car sales banned.

Yours faithfully,

Cllr Hazel Noonan,
Chair, Cheylesmore Ward Forum,
Council House,
Earl Street,
Coventry,
CV1 5RR
